Nearest Railway Station is Kariganur situated at about 2 kms from STC site. Harbours at Chennai, Marmagao and Belekeri Ports are well connected by rail and road at a distance between 340 and 560 kms.

STC is the Leading Exporter in Karnataka's Bellary District for the year 2006-07 with iron ore exports close to 1 million Metric Tons to the markets of China and Japan. This performance has been recognized by the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) by awarding STC with the Best District Exporter Award for the year 2006-07 at the FKCCI Export Excellence Awards 2006-07.
